Shukla Paksha Saptami Vrat & Puja Vidhi (Puja Method)
Puja Materials Required
Oil lamp (Deepak), Gangajal, Rice (Akshat), Sesame (Til), Yellow flowers, Tulsi leaves, Fruits, Jaggery, Til ladoo, Kalash, Yellow cloth, Idol or photo of Lord Vishnu, Surya Ashtakam
Step-by-Step Puja Procedure

Take a bath early in the morning during Brahma Muhurat and wear clean yellow clothes.

Meditate on Lord Vishnu and Surya Dev and take the vow (Sankalp) of fasting.

Light a lamp at the temple or puja place.

Establish Kalash with Gangajal and purify the place with Achaman.

Offer yellow flowers and Tulsi leaves to Lord Vishnu.

Offer Arghya to Surya Dev with water mixed with red flowers and sesame seeds.

Chant the mantras:
“Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya”
“Om Ghrini Suryaya Namah” -
Listen to the Vrat Katha and perform Aarti.

Conclude the fast in the evening with fruits (Phalahar).
