Vaikunth Chaturdashi significance

According to Shiva Purana, Lord Shiva gave his Sudarshan Chakra to Lord Vishnu on the day of Vaikuntha Chaturdashi. On this day, Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu are the same. It is believed that whoever worships with 1000 lotus flowers on this day, the person and his family get a place in Vaikuntha (Vaikuntha Chaturdashi) Dham. Those who die on this day also go straight to heaven.

This is the recognition

According to ancient beliefs, Lord Vishnu once decided to offer a thousand golden lotuses to Lord Shiva in Kashi. Lord Shiva destroyed one of the golden flowers to test Lord Vishnu. When the flowers got reduced, Lord Vishnu started offering his lotus eyes. Then pleased with his devotion, Lord Shiva appeared and said that this Shukla Paksha Chaturdashi of Kartik month will be known as Vaikuntha Chaturdashi Chaudas. On this day, the person who worships and fasts according to the rules will attain Vaikuntha Loka.
