Anādim surādim makhādim bhavādim, svarūpaṁ tvadīyaṁ na vindanti devāḥ.
Jagat-mohinīyaṁ tu vāg-vādinīyaṁ, suhṛd-apoṣhiṇī śhatru-saṃhāraṇīyaṁ.||1||
Meaning: The form of Mahakali has no beginning or end, and even the gods cannot comprehend her true nature. She is the one who captivates the world, whose speech is divine, nourishes her devotees, and destroys the enemies.
Vachastambhanīyaṁ kimuchchāṭanīyaṁ, svarūpaṁ tvadīyaṁ na vindanti devāḥ.
Iyaṁ svarga-dātrī punaḥ kalpavallī, mano-jāstu kāmānyathārtha prakuryāt.||2||
Meaning:Her form can freeze speech and words, a quality that even the gods do not understand. She is the giver of heaven and the tree of desire, fulfilling the wishes and needs of those who seek her blessings.
Tathā te kṛtārthā bhavanti iti nityaṁ, svarūpaṁ tvadīyaṁ na vindanti devāḥ.

Munināṁ kavīnām hṛdi dyotayantaṁ, svarūpaṁ tvadīyaṁ na vindanti devāḥ.
Mahā-megha-kālī suraktāpi śubhrā, kadācid-vicitrā kṛti-yoga-māyā.||5||
Meaning: Her form illuminates the hearts of sages and poets. Sometimes she appears dark, at other times fair, and is ever-changing in her forms. She embodies the divine power of yoga and maya.
Na bālā na vr̥ddhā na kāmāturāpi, svarūpaṁ tvadīyaṁ na vindanti devāḥ.
Kṣamā-svāparādhaṁ mahāgupta-bhāvaṁ, maya loka-madhye prakāśīkṛtaṁyat.||6||
Meaning: Mahakali has no age, and she is not subject to desires. Even the gods cannot fathom her true form. She is the one who forgives all sins and mistakes, and her divine presence shines brightly in the world.
Tava-dhyāna pūtena cāpalya-bhāvāt, svarūpaṁ tvadīyaṁ na vindanti devāḥ.
Yadi dhyāna-yuktaṁ paṭhedyo manuṣhya, stada sarv-loke viśālo bhaveccha.||7||

Gr̥he cāṣṭa-siddhiḥ mṛte cāpi mukti, svarūpaṁ tvadīyaṁ na vindanti devāḥ.||8||
