Piṇḍajapravarārūḍhā chaṇḍakopāstrakaryutā।
Prasādaṁ tanute mahāṁ chandraghaṇṭeti viśrutā॥

The third form of Durga Ji's nine powers is named ‘Chandraghanta'. Maa Chandraghanta is worshipped on the third day of Navratri. This form of Maa is extremely auspicious and provides peace. There is a bell-shaped half-moon on Maa's forehead, which is why Maa is named Chandraghanta Devi. The color of Maa's body has a golden glow. Maa has ten hands and her vehicle is a lion. Goddess Chandraghanta has different weapons in all her ten hands. The tyrannical demons, devils, and monsters always tremble in fear at the loud sound of Maa Chandraghanta's bell.

The worship on the third day of Navratri is of utmost importance in Durga worship. On this day, the person doing sadhna concentrates on the ‘Manipur' chakra. By the grace of Goddess Chandraghanta, the person gets to see supernatural things. Like the person smells the fragrance of divine fragrances and also hears various types of divine sounds. This moment is very cautious for the person doing sadhna.

By the matchless grace of Maa Chandraghanta, all sins and obstacles in life of the worshipper are destroyed. Worship of Maa Chandraghanta is always fruitful. The Goddess removes the troubles of her devotees very quickly. The Goddess rides a lion, so the worshipper of the Goddess also becomes fearless and valiant like a lion. The loud sound of the Goddess's bell always protects her devotees from ghosts and spirits. By merely meditating on Goddess Chandraghanta, this bell starts ringing loudly to protect her devotee and all the obstacles of the devotee are destroyed.

Despite being always ready to destroy and annihilate the wicked, the darshan of the form of the mother is extremely beneficial and pleasant for the devotee, which fills the devotee with gentleness and peace. By worshipping the mother, a person develops fearlessness, courage, bravery and humility, this is a very big quality of worshipping the mother. A special flow of energy occurs in the face, eyes and the whole body of the person and a divine, supernatural sweetness is included in the speech. Wherever the worshippers and devotees of Goddess Chandraghanta go, people experience happiness and peace by seeing them. Because in the body of the devotees of the mother, there is always an invisible radiation of atoms filled with divine light. This divine action is not visible to ordinary eyes, but people who come in contact with the devotees of the mother experience this very well.

A person should purify his mind, deeds, words and body in the ways mentioned in the scriptures and then worship Maa Chandraghanta and take refuge in her. By worshipping Maa Chandraghanta, a person is freed from all worldly troubles and easily becomes entitled to the supreme position. A person should keep doing his sadhna by meditating on Maa Chandraghanta all the time. Meditation on Maa is not only beneficial and gives salvation to a person in this world but also in the next world.
