॥ Dhyaan ॥
Karālavadanām ghōrām muktakēśīm chaturbhutām।
Kālarātriṁ karāliṁkā divyām vidyut mālā vibhūṣhitām॥
Meaning: Your form is fearsome, with a face that is terrifying and hair untied and spread out. You have four arms, your name is Kalratri, who is adorned with a divine garland of lightning.
Divy lauhavajrakhaḍga vāmāghōrdhva karāmbujām।
Abhayam varadām chaiva dakṣiṇōdhvāghaḥ pārṇikām mam॥
Meaning: In one hand, you hold a divine iron thunderbolt, and in the other, a sword raised upwards. Your two remaining hands are in the gestures of granting fearlessness and boons, and you ride a donkey.
Mahāmēgha prabhām śyāmāṁ takṣā chaiva gardhabārūḍhā।
Ghōradanśa kārālāsyāṁ pīnōnnata payōdharām॥
Meaning: You shine like a dark cloud, mounted on a donkey. You possess terrible fangs and a fearsome look, and your bosom is full and high.
Sukha paprasanna vadanā smērānna sarōrūhām।
Ēvaṁ sachiyanatayēt kālarātriṁ sarvakām samṛddhidām॥
Meaning: Your happy face smiles with pleasure, and you have lotus-like eyes. Thus, meditating upon Kalratri, all desires are fulfilled, and prosperity is bestowed.

Hīṁ kālarātri śrī karālī cha klīṁ kalyāṇī kalāvatī।
Kālamātā kalidarphadhnī kamadīśa kupānvitā॥
Meaning: Salutations to Kalratri, the auspicious and adorned one, whose name is Kalaratri and who is the destroyer of Kali.
Kāmabījajapāndā kamabījasvarūpiṇī।
Kumatighnī kulīnartināśinī kul kāminī॥
Meaning: She is the essence of the mantra ‘Kam’, the very form of the essence. She destroys bad thoughts and vices, and promotes the well-being of families.
Klīṁ hīṁ śrīṁ mantravarṇēn kālakaṇṭakaghātinī।
Kr̥pāmayī kr̥pādhārā kr̥pāpārā kr̥pāgamā॥
Meaning: By chanting ‘Kleem’, ‘Hreem’, and ‘Shreem’, she destroys the death of time. She is full of compassion, the one who supports compassion, and the one who grants compassion.
