Maa Skandmata Stotra

॥ Dhyan Mantra ॥

Vande Vanchhit Kamarthe Chandrardhakrit Shekharam।
Simharudha Chaturbhuja Skandmata Yashasvinim॥

Meaning: I worship Skandamata, who is the fulfiller of all desires, has a half-moon on her head, rides a lion, has four arms and bestows fame, to obtain the desired benefits.

Dhavalvarna Vishuddha Chakrasthitam Pancham Durga Trinetrām।
Abhaya Padmayugma Karandakshin Uruputradharam Bhajem॥

Meaning: Skandmata is of white colour and resides in our Vishuddha Chakra and strengthens it. She is the fifth form of Durga Mata who has three eyes. She is holding lotus flowers in two of her four arms, Kartikeya in one while one hand is in Abhaya Mudra.

Patambar Paridhanam Mriduhasya Nanalankar Bhushitam।
Manjir, Haar, Keyur, Kinkini Ratnakundal Dharinim॥

Meaning: Skanda Mata wears yellow clothes. There is an expression of affection on her face and she has adorned herself with various types of ornaments. She has worn a chain, necklace, bracelets, kinkini and earrings studded with gems on her body.

Prafulla Vandana Pallavandhara Kantakapolapin Payodharam।
Kamaniyam Lavanyam Charu Trivali Nitambanim॥

Meaning: I worship Skandamata with a happy mind. Her form is very beautiful, graceful, charming and majestic. She is worshipped in all the three worlds.

Namami Skandmata Skandadharinim।
Samagratatva Sagararamapar Gaharam॥

Meaning: I bow to Skandmata who has taken Skanda i.e. Kartikeya. All the elements of the universe are contained in her. Skandmata also resides in the depths of the ocean and provides us energy.

Shivaprabha Samujvalam Sphucchashaga Shekharam।
Lalata Ratna Bhaskaram Jagatpriti Bhaskaram॥

Meaning: She is the better half of Shiva. She gives light to all of us. She wears a golden crown on her head. There is an aura on her head like the sun which gives light to the entire world.

Mahendrakashyaparchita Sanantkumara Rasastutam।
Surasurendra Vandita Yathartha Nirmaladabhutam॥

Meaning: She is the mistress of all the senses and is worshipped by the sons of Brahma i.e. all the Vedas also describe her glory. Both gods and demons worship this pure and original form of Mata Rani.

Atarkya Rochiruvijam Vikara Doshavarjitam।
Mumukshubhivichintitam Visheshatatvamuchitam॥

Meaning: Skandamata Devi removes all our defects and disorders. She works to keep our body and mind healthy and liberates us.

Nanalankar Bhushitam Mrigendravahanagrajam।
Sushuddhatatva Toshanam Trivendamarabhushitam॥

Meaning: Skanda Mata has adorned herself with various types of ornaments. Lord Indra also worships her. She is present in all the elements of the universe and the burden of all the worlds rests on her.

Sudharmikaupakarini Surendra Kaurighatinin।
Shubham Pushpamalinim Sukarnakalpashakhinin ॥

Meaning: It is through Skandamata that we get wisdom and knowledge and we are able to use it properly. She destroys our ignorance. She resides in the lotus flower and gives auspicious results.

Tamondhakarayaminim Shivasvabhav Kaminin।
Sahastrsurya Rajika Dhanajjyogkarikam॥

Meaning: Skandamata Devi removes the darkness of this world and her nature is similar to that of Lord Shiva. She is worth wishing for. She has the power of millions of Sun and it is because of her that meaning is important on this earth.

Sushuddh Kal Kandalam Subhad Vrindamajullam।
Prajayini Prajavati Namami Mataram Satim॥

Meaning: Skanda Mata has been there since time immemorial and is the creator of this universe. She has done the work of giving light to all of us. She is the one who does good to the people, their mistress and mother. We all bow down to Skanda Mata.

Svakarmakarini Gati Hariprayach Parvatim।
Anantashakti Kantidam Yashorth Bhuktimuktidam॥

Meaning: She fixes every spoiled work, she is always in motion, she does the work of Hari and is the form of Mother Parvati. She has infinite power in her and her brilliance is the highest. She is the one who suggests us the path of fame, wealth, devotion and salvation.

Punaha Punaha Jagadvitam Namamyaham Surarchitam।
Jayeshwari Trilochane Prasid Devi Pahimam॥

Meaning: He is the one who has given everything to this world and he is worthy of worship by all the creatures of this world including the gods. He is the goddess of all of us, the one who pervades the three worlds and is the primal power.
